What is Juvederm® Ultra XC?
Juvederm® Ultra XC is a hyaluronic acid based gel dermal filler that is ideal for restoring volume and contour to the face. Hyaluronic acid occurs naturally in the body and helps to hydrate and add volume to the skin. As the body ages, the natural production of hyaluronic acid in the body reduces resulting in the loss of volume in the skin. Juvederm® helps to restore lost volume by filling the spaces between the skin with a hyaluronic acid based gel that can be molded and contoured to achieve the desired look. Juvederm® can be used to improve the appearance of smoker’s lines, marionette lines, and smile lines. What can I expect during an injection session?
Juvederm® is injected into the skin using a fine needle, multiple areas can be treated in one injection session. Multiple injection sessions may be required in order to achieve your desired results. There is minimal discomfort associated with Juvederm® injections, but a topical anesthetic can be applied prior to treatment at the patient’s request. Injection sessions usually last between 15 to 30 minutes depending on the number of areas being treated. There is no downtime associated with Juvederm® injectable fillers and most patients are immediately able to return to work and other normal activities.
When will I see results?
Results are immediately visible following an injection session with full results visible within a week following treatment. Results can last up to one year depending on your treatment plan.

Are there any side effects in Juvederm Ultra Uses?
