What is Cellfina® Cellulite Treatment?
Cellfina® works by breaking up the bands, or septae, that pull down on fat deposits to cause dimpling. First, a licensed physician marks the dimples that are to be targeted–usually about 30 to 40. Next, an anesthetic solution is injected below the skin. The same device that’s used to deliver the anesthetic is used to affix a suction cup to the dimpled skin to pull it taut. From there, an ultra-fine needle is inserted and used to cut the septae. In turn, the skin “snaps back” and smooths out, and cellulite is diminished.
Am I a Good Candidate?
This treatment is intended for women who have cellulite around the thigh and buttocks areas. The ideal candidate is in good shape and within 10 pounds of their ideal weight, as excessive fat may pull down on the skin too much for treatment to be effective.
