What Causes Snoring?

Characterized by a narrowing of the upper airway during sleep, several factors can cause snoring, including:

  • Nasal deformities
  • Allergies/nasal congestion
  • Being overweight
  • Hypothyroidism
  • Sleeping in the supine position (on your back)

What is the NightLase®?

Developed by Fotona, the NightLase® is an application of the SP Dynamis laser system, a revolutionary machine that causes gentle, laser-induced tightening of collagen in the oral mucosa tissues. This nd:YAG system is designed to safely penetrate the sensitive areas of the nose and mouth while creating controlled heat in the tissues that is clinically proven to effectively open up the airway and reduce the amplitude of snoring.

NightLase® not only helps patients get more restful sleep, it also improves the quality of sleep for their partners, improving the overall quality of rest throughout the night. This treatment has an extremely high rate of success and is easy for trained doctors to administer. The treatment itself is also very comfortable, with the vast majority of patients experiencing little pain or discomfort during each treatment. NightLase® is the ideal way for patients to get the good night’s rest that they need and deserve.

How Many Treatments Will I Need?

Results may vary from patient to patient, but typically three to five treatments over a six-week span. Results are clinically proven to last for up to a year, and with regular treatment, snoring can be effectively managed and regular sleep patterns restored.

Are There Any Side Effects?

Most patients find NightLase® treatment to be comfortable, with a small occurrence of adverse effects and overall positive results. NightLase® requires no heavy equipment to be worn during the night or strips over the nose, increasing patient comfort and creating an easier transition into restful sleep patterns.

Am I a Good Candidate for NightLase®?

If the effects of snoring negatively affect the sleep patterns of yourself and your partner, and you are interested in a safe, gentle procedure that is noninvasive with minimal downtime, NightLase® may be the solution for you.
